Hi, my name is Wai Sze Zara. I'm still getting used to my last name as I just got married a month ago! I live with my darling husband Mike & our 1.5 year old dog named Sam, short for Samantha in New York City. Things that I love to do include cooking, eating, travelling, reading and of course crafting.
As a teenager, I have always loved to craft and often jumping from one activity to the next. I know how to cross-stitch, knit, make jewelry, cards, gifts tags and scrapbooks. I never knew back then that I would ever be making things for sale. When I was 17, I made a card as a gift. A co-worker saw it and loved it. She commissioned me to make a Valentine's Day card for her. Joyfully, I made it and it was then that I knew that I could do more with my crafts. From that point on, I've moved on to custom scrapbooks of all varieties: through the years, vacation in Italy, baby's first year, etc.
In the last few years, since I've discovered Etsy, I've been crafting like never before. I feel so lucky to have a venue to display and sell my work on a day to day basis. Although I don't mind the occasionally knitting sessions, I now try to focus on only my paper crafts. I love mixing a variety of colors together especially with accents of rustic charm. I really love blending the modern with the old vintage feel. Perhaps, it has something to do with the fact that I love reading historical fictions? I hope that when you visit my shop you'll be inspired by the new color & design combinations I've created.
